Today, a synthesis paper on the impact of the 2018 drought in Switzerland by Mana Gharun (Postdoctoral researcher at ETH Zurich) and other ICOS-CH co-authors was published. It used data from five Swiss FluxNet stations and showed that effects of of the 2018 drought were more severe at lower elevations than at higher elevations in Switzerland. The paper was highlighted in today's ETH News and is part of a set of studies showing how nature and crops in Europe responded to the extremely dry conditions in 2018, published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B.
