On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Bílý Kříž Experimental Ecological Station in the Beskydy Mountains (Czech Republic), which is an ICOS Class 2 station, Czech Globe organized an international conference with the motto “Quo vaditis?”, i.e., “Where are you going?” (15-17 September 2025). It was a a great opportunity to exchange insights on climate change research, and Nina Buchmann (ICOS-CH Focal Point) was invited to deliver a keynote on “Lessons learned from the Swiss FluxNet: Greenhouse gas fluxes, their trends and drivers across multiple scales”. The field trip to Bílý Kříž station, a Norway spruce forest in the Beskidy Mountains, was a clear highlight of the three days.
