The ICOS Switzerland Annual Meeting 2025 passed successfully. It was a day full of updates and highlights - both administrative and scientifically - from the ICOS-CH community, rounded of by an informative walk through the forest and the most innovative group photo in the history of ICOS-CH.
This year's ICOS Switzerland Annual Meeting took place at WSL in Birmensdorf on 9 September 2025. The morning program covered updates and highlights from ICOS-CH and all three ICOS-CH stations (Jungfraujoch, Davos, Basel). During lunch break, Roman Zweifel, Sophia Etzold, Käthi Liechti and Tanja Stutz, all working at WSL for the ICOS Davos Station, showed us around the LWF test, training and demonstration plot in the nearby forest. Davos station is also part of the Long-Term Forest Ecosystem Research (LWF) programme and many ICOS measurements are performed in close collaboration with LWF. Out in the green, we received a very good insight into the collection of ancillary data that is performed every year for the ICOS Class 1 Station in Davos. In the afternoon, we enjoyed newest scientific results both from the Atmosphere and the Ecosystem Domain and from the ICOS Cities project.

A big thank you to the local meeting organization by Roman Zweifel. We are already looking forward to the ICOS-CH Annual 2026 to take place at ETH Zurich.
