The second annual meeting of the KADI (Knowledge and climate services from an African observation and Data research Infrastructure) project took place in Nairobi from 14 - 18 October and was joined by Martin Steinbacher (ICOS Station PI for Jungfraujoch). The KADI project – coordinated by the ICOS Head Office in Finland and with Swiss participation from Empa, MeteoSwiss and Agroscope – aims at conceptualizing a comprehensive strategy towards the development of an operational African greenhouse gas information system. Experience gained in ICOS and in previous international cooperation is the basis for developing the vision for implementing and operating the observation system in Africa.
