The Annual conference of the ETH Department of Environmental Systems Science took place at the Davos congress centre (USYS conference, 1-3 June 2026) . Some participants visited the Davos station.
As part of the program beyond the sessions of the USYS conference, ICOS-CH offered an excursion to the ICOS station Davos on 2 June 2026. Iris Feigenwinter (ETH Zurich, ICOS-CH Station PI of Davos station) together with Philip Meier and Thomas Baur (ETH Zurich, technicians working at the Davos station) showed the site to their colleagues from the USYS department. Iris gave an overview of ICOS-CH and recent scientific results while Philip showed the instrument hut and explained technical details to the participants. The group was visited by two squirrels, who seemed to be interested in our eddy covariance measurements as well!
